‘Tis the Season for Tassel Application

Here’s another reminder to schedule one of Federated’s high-lift sprayers for tassel application.
Our two “high boys” are based in Osceola and Albertville, but they can travel anywhere in Federated’s coverage area.
VT applications are preventative treatments, and the timing is from tassel to R2, or late silking. “We’re not far away from tassel,” said Federated agronomy sales manager Kevin Carlson. “So it’s time to slot in your application with Federated.”
These need to be planned treatments, so make sure you schedule now. Recent history and current events indicate it will be worth your while.
“We had very good response to our applications last year,” Carlson said. “We saw 15- to 25-bushel ROI or more from last year's applications. Plus, we’re getting reports of tar spot to the south of us, so there’s your warning shot over the bough. It’s time to take action.”
